Our Favorite Wine Tastings in Florence

Prefer a self guided wine tasting in Florence Italy? There are so many wonderful enoteche to discover in this Renaissance city that you can get a thorough education from popping into a few and chatting with the bartender. Here are some of our favorite wine bars to visit for superb wine tasting in Florence opportunities:

    1. Le Volpi e L’Uva

One of our favorite wine bars in Florence, this is tucked away behind a corner but close to the Ponte Vecchio. There’s limited seating inside and outdoors but it’s worth trying for a table. We always order a crostone (slice of toasted bread with delicious toppings) to enjoy alongside our glasses of wine. You can find a great wine selection from other regions in Italy here too.

    2. Il Santino

This is a tiny wine bar next to their restaurant where you can go for dinner afterwards. It’s located in the Oltrarno away from the main crowds in Florence. It’s definitely not a secret and a popular bar, so try your luck for a table or enjoy a glass of wine outside in the summer.

    3. Procacci

You simply must head here for the truffle panini and glass of sparkling wine! It’s not so much wine tasting you’ll do here but it’s one of our favorite bars in Florence for an aperitivo.
